80's Tees

So I was originally just going to feature the Princess Bride shirts in my Friday Favourites, but I started poking around their website afterwards and I'd like to buy everything and surround myself in geekery for the rest of forever. I humbly thank you, 80's Tees, for existing. Seriously. I have a feeling I'll be going broke in the fairly-near future. So without further ado, here are some of my favourite finds.

Left to Right:
Costume Shirt
Princess Of Power Shirt
She-Ra Shirt
That's What She-Ra Said Shirt
The fact that there are She-Ra shirts to begin with is pretty kickass. For those of you who don't know, I am a huge fan of the Princess of Power, and I'm completely obsessed with anything She-Ra related. I think the first two are my favourite because of the classic white. The last one is hilariously cute. If you search "She-Ra" or "Masters of the Universe" you'll find more stellar stuff (the He-Man/She-Ra Christmas "sweater" is pretty great. I'm thinking that might be part of my outfit this December.)

TMNT Weapons Backpack
Need I say anything about this? It's pretty awesome. You can opt for the shell backpack by itself as well.

Left to Right:
Magneto
Spiderman
Captain America
Wolverine
And then you have your costume hoodies. Magneto is pretty badass, and Wolverine just cracks me up. I dig them all. And Spidey, you know there's always room for you in my life. Search "costume hoodies" for more. No, go do it. I really really love Optimus Prime, and Iron Man and Iron Patriot are really really cool. I had to refrain from posting more than four here, so please go bask in all the awesome.

Left To Right:
Stand By Me
Chopper Sic Balls
Castle Rock Junk Yard
So on a whim I searched for one of my favourite movies of all time, Stand By Me. Was I surprised that there was merch? Yes indeed. Should I have been? Considering the company is "80's Tees" probably not, but I still think it's pretty killer that these shirts are there.

Top, Left to Right:
Black Jem Sweatshirt
Group Jem Hoodie
Girl Power by Junk Food
Bottom, Left to Right:
Pikachu and Ash
Why Star Wars Shirt
Where the Wild Things Are (Ladies)
Has anyone else noticed Jem and the Holagrams being, well, everywhere lately? For some reason everyone suddenly seems to know Jem again. Not that I'm complaining. These two sweatshirts are cute though. I love the Flashdance thing the black one has going on.
Girlpower, as my beloved Spice Girls promoted, is pretty awesome on it's own, but add in these lovely ladies and you've got a killer shirt to go with your killer statement.
Pokemon was a huge part of my childhood, and I just think this shirt is adorable. Pikachu's face just kills me.
"Because I am your father". This shirt is adorable, 'Nuff said.
Finally, we have my favourite childhood book, Where the Wild Things Are. (I surprisingly really enjoyed the movie adaption. I went into it really skeptical.) There is also a men's fit available. I'm a fan of the Wild Thing shirt too.

Finn Adventure Time Hooded Backpack
Side: Chewbacca Doll
Skeletor Plush
Bottom: Plush Gizmo Backpack
Plush Yoda Backpack Buddy
Stay Puft Pillow Buddy

How cute is the hooded Finn backpack? And Chewbacca? He looks so soft and cuddly, I love it.
I can already hear you rolling your eyes about Skeletor. I know, I know, enough Masters of the Universe already, but I couldn't resist. His teeny-tiny body is hilarious.
I personally would love to cart around Gizmo on my back all day. Or Yoda. The fact that it looks like Yoda is hugging you is hilarious to me.
Finally, no geeky post is complete without a little Ghostbusters. Question: is it acceptable to buy a few of these and use them as throw pillows for my couch? They are so darn cute.

And that's all folks! Shout out to Kevin who got back to my email about this feature much quicker than I expected. If your customer service is that fast I am very impressed indeed. Have you guys ordered anything from 80's tees? Let me know! I haven't (yet!), but when I do I'll be sure to do a review.

Stay Scary,
Berlyn

  5. Those Jem t-shirts are really fun! I totally had a Jem doll when I was a kid. She was kind of the resident drag queen doll though because she was taller than the other Barbies and had weird hair, hahaha! Love your blog so much! Talk soon!

    1. I'm so jealous! I missed out on the Jem doll craze, my Grandma was the toy picker and she stuck to strictly Barbies haha
